Persevere, adapt, and reset.

These are the words that I try and live my life enacting on a regular basis. It doesn’t always go off without a hitch, but having them as a touchstone helps me spend as much time as possible as a joyful, fulfilled person doing what I’m called to do in this life.

Oftentimes, we as imperfect little human beings get stuck.

We get caught in a rut of dwelling on our problems, living an unexamined life, or simply not knowing what to do next because we don’t have the necessary perspective to do what we need to do.

The solution I’d present to you is an action plan.

I first came across “action plans” in a sophomore-year Honors research seminar where my professor shared the action plans that she uses with students who have asthma.

These action plans are given to students with the intent of lowering levels of hospitalization…
